Notes: Preston Brown was your top scoring IDP rookie in week One as he started over the suspended Nigel Bradham.  He may have earned himself some extra snaps with his performance, or possibly carved out a role with Keith Rivers injured (Bradham could play SLB).  I’d keep an eye on Brown and if you’re in a dynasty league (buy).  Jadeveon Clowney is now out for 4-6 weeks after suffering a knee injury, still worth holding in dynasty leagues.  Two stellar & favorable defensive rookie of the year LB’s in CJ Mosley and Ryan Shazier  put up mirror images with their stats on their first game.  Both have low level LB1 upside and will continue to get better.  Anthony Barr was impressive in his debut as well, the sacks will come but it was a good sign to see him racking up the tackles.  Khalil Mack was getting to the QB, although he had 0.5 sack taken away from him in the stat book, but soon as he gets a feel for the game, the stats will follow.  Be patient with Kirksey, the sack is intriguing and as soon as he gets the starting job, lookout.

I was impressed with Bradley Roby, and knew Denver got a steal when they nabbed him in the draft.  Ha Ha Clinton-Dix looks to be splitting time with Hyde but still getting the snaps to produce.  He definitely got shown up as a rookie against the Seahawks but he’ll learn and he put up a solid line; intriguing he got a sack as well.   I had HHCD as my #1 rookie DB and it’s working out so far.

Stay tuned for week 2 IDP rookie report but a handful of them looked impressive but at the end of the day let’s not forget; their rookies.  As the season goes on their roles will be distinguished and easier to part with or add any of them that are available.
