IDPwithBEE NEW FACES in NEW PLACES Part II

Aloha everyone as I continue along with my IDP new faces in new places piece, I take a look at 10 more IDP’s who found new homes this off-season and what kind of impact they’ll bring this coming season.

As always you can reach me via twitter @IDPwithBEE_DSE

REvis

Brandon Spikes LB BUF don’t think his value rose much as he’ll remain a viable LB3 option in leagues this season. Spikes will have a few games where he puts up enticing numbers. Good to have for depth and bye week filler in deep league.
Wesley Woodyard LB TEN seemed to fade away late season after having a solid campaign in ’12, he battled injuries in ’13. I hope he stays healthy and becomes a 3-down LB again, he can and there’s not much competition in TEN. If he does become a starter and 3-down LB he can have LB2 value again, but you could be getting him on the cheap for now.
Darrelle Revis DB NEP This move impacts what goes on during Sunday’s not on your IDP squad. Revis is a household name but that doesn’t mean he produces for you IDP wise (he doesn’t) he doesn’t get much opportunity and usually has 2-3 great games (point wise), not worth rostering. If you do consider drafting him, he’s no better than a DB3.
Donte Whitner DB CLE I can see Whitner’s tackle numbers rising some going to CLE as he’ll have a few more opportunities. Whitner will be a steady DB2 option you’d be able to stream/draft this season.
Alterraun Verner DB TBB solid fit in TBB cover 2 scheme and will have many opportunities to repeat his TEN numbers. Verner strong DB2 option and you can feel confident starting him week in week out.
Malcolm Jenkins DB PHI Eagles need to hope the Jenkins of ’11 and ’12 show up in Philly (IDP Owners as well) because he avg roughly around 64 solo tackles and 17 assists, he can easily match these numbers in Philly as the safeties put up some numbers in this defense. I got Jenkins on the rise back into DB2 territory and on the sleeper list this off-season.
Justin Tuck DL OAK Did Tuck find the fountain of youth? He got after the QB late in the season and probably helped some of his IDP owners win some crucial matchups too. Could face a handful of double teams because nobody else scaring anybody on OAK, Tuck’s tackle numbers could remain the same and if he has a chip on his shoulder he could get that 10+ sack number again.
Jason Hatcher DL WAS after putting up 4.5 and 4 sacks the last 2 seasons, Hatcher came out of nowhere and brokeout with 11 sacks in ’13 which led him to a nice contract with the Redskins. They need a pass rusher from the interior, Hatcher will provide that and will be a serviceable DL2 again in IDP world. In DT only leagues he’s a DT1, it’ll be tough to meet the 11 sacks again, but he could reach 7-8.
Lamaar Woodley LB OAK can Woodley bounce back? He should as PIT just gave him a ridiculous contract then cut him loose (Worilds World now). Raiders need edge rushers, besides Sio Moore and Woodley can be a stop gap as OAK continues to get younger. In big play leagues Woodley has potential to be in the LB2 talk range again, for now take him as a LB4 and hope he stays healthy.
Mike Mitchell DB PIT Mitchell ditched CAR for PIT and looks like he’ll take over for Ryan Clark. PIT gets younger at the position but now Shamarko Thomas owners have to probably wait another year. I can see Mitchell providing DB2 value in ’14 and a bit more consistent, he had his fair share of big games in CAR and that will continue in PIT.
