IDPwithBEE New Faces in New Places Part 1

Aloha everyone, as the 2014 NFL season kicked-off with Free Agency back on March 11th, 2014 many players found new teams within minutes.  I only care about the defensive side of the ball so as Free Agency continues I will continue to release my thoughts on all the IDP’s who found new teams, I’ll be doing them in groups of 10 and starting it off with the household name IDP’s and their impact for the upcoming season.

D’Qwell Jackson LB IND still remains a low-end LB1, but is an upgrade over Angerer. Freeman and Jackson will form a solid duo at the ILB position.
Karlos Dansby LB CLE after putting up top 5 numbers last season back in Arizona, Dansby takes his talents to CLE to help that defense out. Remains a strong LB1 and with no competition for tackles he has every opportunity to put up at least 130 total tackles.
Jairus Byrd DB/S NOS ball hawk safety makes his way to Rob Ryan’s aggressive defense. Byrd and Vaccaro will form one of the best safety tandem’s in the league. Byrd will remain a DB1 and one of the top one’s selected in draft.
Michael Johnson DL TBB Johnson left CIN to join the rising TBB defense. His IDP value doesn’t change much as he’ll remain a top DL2 that’ll give you a few DL1 weeks.
TJ Ward DB/S DEN Ward is an upgrade at the safety position for the Broncos & Ward’s IDP value remains a DB1, tackle numbers could take a fall but he’ll make plays in other areas
Lamarr Houston DL CHI Houston is a smart man for leaving OAK, even if OAK didn’t want to resign him (doesn’t make sense) but it’s a win for Lamarr as he’ll be on a much better team. His IDP value rises some and could flirt with low DL1 territory but he’s a strong DL2 and a buy in my books.
Julius Peppers DL GBP We all know how much of a “performer” Peppers was in 2013, dude stunk it up for his IDP owners. New team and rival will change that? We shall see, I’m buying into it as GBP desperately needs pass rush and could prove people wrong, at least in 1st year. Keep him on the DL2 low right now
Antoine Bethea DB/S SF Bethea is going to an aggressive defensive team that’s loaded with talent. He’s also going to be playing alongside a rising young star in Eric Reid and he’ll teach him a thing or two. Bethea’s IDP value takes a small hit but should still get his opportunities to rack up tackles & get his fair share.
DeMarcus Ware DL/LB DEN Ware and Miller rushing the QB, that’s a nightmare waiting to happen for opposing teams next season. Ware has some fuel left in the tank, think his IDP value doesn’t move much neither. Ware isn’t DL1 material anymore, but a strong DL2 option. DEN does have more talent on defense though so facing 1 on 1 could help.
Chris Clemons DL JAC Clemons was superb for SEA prior to his injury and fell behind Bennett/Avril as he came back, but his presence was still felt on the field. Jaguars need pass rushers and inked up Clemons and resigned Babin. Clemons is a sneaky DL1 heading into 2014, but you’ll get him at DL2 value as folks will focus on his age, don’t let that get to you much.
