SAN DIEGO @ KANSAS CITY – WEEK 1 – PREVIEW

WEEK 1 PREVIEW:

SAN DIEGO @ KANSAS CITY

Are you ready? Are you ready for some football? Its Monday Night! What a way to conclude week 1 of the 2010 NFL Season, a rivalry game between the kings of the west San Diego Chargers and the much improving Kansas City Chiefs.  In this preview I will state the obvious, tell you what the possibilities are and at the end of it all; let you know what the result will be.

STATING THE OBVIOUS

–          Jamaal Charles will have a field day against a suspect rush defense

–          Malcom Floyd starts his “Who needs Vjax” campaign

–          Ryan Mathews explodes on the scene and starts to show that he’ll replace LT2 just fine

–          Rivers will show doubters he doesn’t need Jackson in the passing game

–          Dwayne Bowe “knows comebacks” as he’ll show he’s back

–          Antonio Gates has a dominant game as no LB in KC can contain him

–          Should be a shootout with both defenses suspect to rush and pass

WHAT’S THE POSSIBILITIES

–          Thomas Jones vulturing one or two touchdowns from Charles

–          Crayton’s makes his presence known and thanks the Cowboys for the trade

–          Rivers could struggle with a young and improving Chiefs secondary

–          Eric Berry shows Ed Reed-Like skills and makes his presence known he’s here to take over

–          Chris Chambers gets revenge against his former team

–          Matt Cassel and Dexter McCluster look like Brady to Welker

–          Legedu Naanee starts his breakout campaign on the right track

THE RESULT

–          Arrowhead stadium was once a tough place to play for opponents; things have changed the past few years but with an improved offense and defense things are looking up for the Kansas City Chiefs.  Still a few years away from making noise in the AFC; promise is shown in this game but San Diego will still prove the AFC West is theirs for the taking and their still the kings.
